The independently and locally owned Campus Coffee Bean was opened in 1996. It is now Flagstaff's friendliest coffee shop serving gourmet coffees and teas, as well as breakfast and lunch. Owner, Roger Pisacano, has created a coffee shop where customers feel welcomed, where employees are valued, and where everyone can hang out, work, or socialize.

The location is near downtown Flagstaff, Northern Arizona University, I-17 from Phoenix, and I-40 (the major highway from North Carollina to California); this spot attracts a variety of people from the academic and business communities, as well as tourists and travelers. The diversity of cultures in Flagstaff is represented among the customers, as well. The owner's involvement in the local community is reflected in sponsorship of a variety community and charitable events.
